<description>Josh, one of the problems I see with Enterprise App Stores (EAS) is quality of the apps when it comes to integration with IT. Companies, especially large companies spend time and money carefully verifying and validating apps with their IT infrastructure prior to purchase or deployment. This can be a lengthy process which generally requires involvement by the vendors along the way (in some cases tweaking the apps). So aside from some basic apps, it will be difficult in my mind for a 3rd party app store to come in and mediate the process given that the server side integration is where a lot of the work takes place.

EASs should certainly list the available products and categorize according to the needs of an enterprise, but from my understanding of working with RIM&#039;s corporate account managers over the years they have done a pretty good job of introducing vendors with the right solutions to their enterprise customers. Plus BES 5 does a better job of aiding the deployment process, although not sufficient for everyone yet it helps with its support for groups.
